David Garibaldi on Black Nine

Here’s a breakdown of a cool and playable David Garibaldi groove that a student of mine recently asked me about.

Below is David Garibaldi’s drum groove that he plays for essentially the first two minutes of the song before his big drum fills. **Note** at about 1:21 he plays the same groove (without the left foot part) but moves his left hand from the snare drum over to the closed left hi hat, occasionally opening/closing it to change the feel.
